SimcoHR is looking for a Payroll Implementation Specialist to join our growing Payroll Team! This person will support our clients' payroll needs and assist in future changes and anticipated growth. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the implementation process for the payroll team
- Maintains and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Assists in facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees' hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with payroll software
- Ability to monitor sensitive data and process it in a timely and efficient manner
- Sound ability to support other teams in collaboration with payroll systems
Education and Experience:
- At least five years of related experience required (10 years preferred)
- At least two years of implementation experience required
- iSolved experience is a plus
- ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position
- Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Salary : $24 - $26
