Job Description: SimIS seeks a Full Stack Developer to serve as an Agile Execution SME in support of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Unified Platform program office (UP). AFLMC/UP is responsible for developing and sustaining a cloud-based platform that enables cyber operations across the Department of Defense (DoD). UP provides USCYBERCOM Operational Forces a Joint cyber operations infrastructure enabling full spectrum cyberspace operations at the operational through tactical levels of warfare as part of USCYBERCOM’s Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA). The Full Stack Developer provides Agile execution support for program planning, execution, strategy, and evaluation of solutions.
Duty Requirements:
Responsible for the delivery of services required to move an organization to new levels of agile maturity. Provides critical assessment, analysis, scenarios and reports as well as customized training as needed to successfully implement.
Assists in aligning the organization on complex technical decisions. Provides expert analysis and counsel to management, and contractors. Provides expert advice and guidance in defining best practices including capacity planning, monitoring, recovery strategies and migration strategies.
Manages the life cycle for the production of software and applications. Oversees and guides the analysis, writing, building, and deployment of software from conception to deployment. Maintains and upgrades the software following deployment. Oversees the automated testing and provides feedback to management during the development process.
Expert within the technical components of the domains/products/journeys. Can make architecture decisions at a team and product level. Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units.
Preferred Technical Experience in TDD, Jira, AWS (Elastic Beanstalk), Python, Express.js, BDD
Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
10 years’ experience in technical program/project management.
5 years’ experience in agile program/project management.
5 years of experience with DevOps/DevSecOps implementations.
Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required/Desired:
Certified in at least one Agile methodology (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Lean, test-driven development (TDD)).
Front-end Languages and Frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Backend Technologies and Frameworks (NodeJS, ExpressJS, Django, Flask, C ), Database Management Systems (MySQL, SQL SERVER and PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle Database), Version Control, and Web Hosting Platforms.
Prior experience working USCYBERCOM and or USAF Cyber is desired but not required.
Contract Specific Requirements:
Upon award, the contract will have a period of performance of a 12 month base year with 2 twelve month options for a total of 36 months.
