JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a skilled and responsible CDL Driver to transport building materials locally. As a CDL Driver, you will be a vital part of our operations, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of materials to our customers. This position also assists with general yard duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and/or tractor-trailers.
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations within a specific geographical area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any issues.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement of items.
- Maintain accurate and complete delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers for smooth operations.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks, forklifts and equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- Ability to work outside and lift up to 75 lbs.
