Shipping Clerk, 2nd Shift
Large distribution company seeks a reliable Shipping Clerk to work in the shipping department of their facility in Buena Park, CA. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing drivers and be responsible for entering trailer information into the system.
This is a full-time position where you will earn $19 an hour and work the evening shift, Monday from Friday from 4pm to 12:30am plus overtime on Saturdays, as needed. This facility has free onsite parking and an employee lunchroom with a microwave for your use.
Your responsibilities as a Shipping Clerk include collecting paperwork, maintaining schedules, and ensuring all paperwork is complete and free of errors. You will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
- Verifying that all incoming shipments are correct and as ordered.
- Performing data entry.
- Communicating any issues, errors, and discrepancies to leadership.
- Monitoring and following up on EDI, Spot Trailer, and other reports.
- Answering phone calls, setting appointments, and tracking shipments, as needed.
To qualify for this position, you must have at least two (2) years of shipping or receiving experience, and:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
