What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Line Manager position at Simply NUC?
SCOPE/GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Product Line Manager is responsible for the creation and successful execution of business strategies for key markets where mini computers are valued. This position has a solid understanding of the focus market segments and ensures definition of competitive product lines. This role is the team expert on the product who owns the content for collaterals, assets, and training. This position works closely with sales and engineering teams to form strong roadmaps for Simply NUC products, solutions and accessories.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand, articulate, and capture customer market needs and then translate them into market requirements for product definition.
- Create business cases for all new products.
- Work with management to develop long term product development and sales roadmaps for the company.
- Analyze all functions and features of existing and new products and evaluate acceptance by customers.
- Prepare reports on product line results, review on a regular basis, and use the information to drive future product decisions.
- Maintain information on all product qualities and functions and communicate to customers as required.
- Manage product life cycle from concept to discontinuance.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or marketing preferred; practical experience may be substituted.
- Three (3) years minimum experience managing product roadmaps.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High degree of desktop PC product knowledge and experience.
- Ability to define customer needs and drive roadmap decisions required.
- High degree of leadership, collaboration, and internal influence skills.
- Excellent discipline and presentation skills is required.
- Small form factor systems (including usage) knowledge is highly desired.
