As an Electrician at Simply Solar you will oversee the installation of solar batteries for residential solar projects. The right candidate has experience and interest in emerging solar technology and a passion for installing that new technology on our customers' homes.
About the role:
Install and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems for photovoltaic solar systems.
Perform Main Panel Upgrades (MPUs)
Responsible for ensuring that installations are completed according to code and Simply Solar standards.
Meet with customers to coordinate the completion of the project and all related equipment necessary to complete the job.
Pull inventory and ensure all materials are available to complete the job.
Document completion of finished jobs.
Maintain a clean job site.
Communicate job status to management to assure the successful completion of all jobs.
Deliver exceptional customer service to provide the perfect experience throughout the process.
Requirements:
2 years of MPU experience required
2 years of solar installation experience preferred
Experience with solar monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance preferred
Experience with battery back-ups and off-grid installations preferred
Integrity, honesty, and ability to speak with customers
Ability to work in a team environment
Reliable and regular attendance required
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record
Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
Ability to work safely and confidently on roofs with ladder access (no fear of heights, healthy respect for safety concerns, and proper use of safety equipment is required).
Must be able to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks: up to 50 pounds individually, and up to 100 pounds with assistance
Prolonged periods of repetitive duties including lifting, bending, and standing
Work is performed outdoors, frequently in harsh conditions (inclement weather, extreme hot and cold temperatures, roofs, crawl spaces, extreme heights)

$45 - $60 per hour depending on experience
