JOB PURPOSE:

The System Technician will build, assemble, configure, and test new in-home sensor systems that we create and sell to our customers. This role will also build and configure peripheral devices that connect to the central hub device. Once complete systems are built, the System Technician will also configure outcomes and settings to the system according to customer specifications. In addition to building systems, this role will also support troubleshooting hardware and returned systems or devices, and may also support the help ticket process.

The process of building and assembling may require the use of soldering tools, hand tools, power tools; and the use of hands, fingers, and potentially magnification to work with small components.

This is a Full-Time hourly position for 40 hours per week. Pay range starting at $18 per hour. Flexible schedule with work hours between 8:30am - 5:30pm on Monday to Friday.

This is a fast-paced, collaborative and dog-friendly environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Determine and execute system builds based on inventory requirements, customer build queue, and priorities of customer situations and/or agreements
  • Complete the entire build process, which consists of the following steps:
  • Build and assemble peripheral sensors and devices
  • Physically assemble and pre-program system hubs
  • Install operating system, other applications, and program default settings
  • Perform final programming and pairing, and configure outcomes based on customer specifications
  • Troubleshoot system pre-programming and sensor pairing
  • Test incoming products
  • Refurbish returned equipment for customers as needed
  • Take out the recycling and trash as needed
  • Keep accurate records of build progress each week
  • Document and track inventory with appropriate labels, version numbers, etc.
  • Follow up on pending orders, help tickets, and update orders as needed
  • Assist both internal and external customers with basic technology education and/or troubleshooting
  • Create/maintain internal documentation/training related to the position
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. An Associate's or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

At least 2 years previous experience in a hands-on assembly or technician capacity is required.
