Job Posting for Tax Director at Simpson Judge
Simpson Judge has partnered with a boutique CPA firm in Westchester County in their search for a Tax Director. The firm has experienced significant growth due to a number of acquisitions and word of mouth. The existing leadership wish to focus their efforts on the audit side of the business and are therefore seeking someone to lead on the Tax side. The Tax Director will play a crucial role in managing the tax department and overseeing tax services for a diverse client base of individual and business clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee tax services for large book of individual and small business clients
- Conduct final reviews and sign off on tax returns
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Work closely with the partners to develop and implement tax strategies
- Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or EA license required
- Minimum of 10 years progressive tax experience in public practice
- Strong technical skills in tax planning and compliance
- Experience managing client relationships and mentoring junior staff
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
