YOU
As a Purchasing Clerk, you will provide assistance to the Purchasing Department. Matches and verifies purchasing documents for accuracy. Maintains and researches open purchase orders, red tags, NCR’s and adjustments. Researches and evaluates shipping errors and duplicate orders. Pulls certification documents when required. Responsible for verifying the accuracy of the receiving process in blue screen.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Verify the accuracy of the receiving process in blue screen. (35%)
Maintains and researches open purchase orders, red tag, NCR’s and adjustments. (25%)
Matches and verifies purchasing documents for accuracy. (20%)
Researches and evaluates shipping errors and duplicate orders. (10%)
Provide assistance to purchasing department. (10%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
- High school diploma or GED Required.
- Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school Preferred.
- 1 year related experience and/or training Required.
- Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Reliability: Regular reliable punctual attendance is essential because of limited staffing resources.
- Results Focused & Initiative: Ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Anticipates and prevents future problems, takes charge to bring about change, and takes initiative with role.

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Stockton, CA.

PAY
$18.08 – $27.12 / hour
