Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific, Engineering)
  • 3-4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of principles and practices of engineering, thermal and fluid dynamics knowledge, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • PC skills including Microsoft office applications.
  • Basic skills with CAD applications, a plus.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Gives advice, analyzes information or serves as a professional resource on whom others may rely within a specific function.
  • Participates as an engineering representative in cross-functional New Product Introduction process.
  • Evaluates, analyzes, and makes recommendations on products, designs, and cost improvements to improve the competitive position of the company.
  • Procures materials needed to construct prototypes and supervises the design engineering of new models.
  • Plans and develops test programs for prototypes.
  • Analyzes test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional, performance, and safety specifications.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, sources, and coordinates the procurement of new materials to support model changes.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and recommends cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes.
  • Performs technical analysis of competitive products.
  • Provides support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer support.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
