About the role

You will own our corporate crisis response communications, with responsibility for all related internal and external communications and messaging. Your goal is to ensure SITA preparedness to communicate swiftly and with the right measures in a crisis situation. You manage all related communications activities in collaboration with the executive leadership team. You ensure effective training and coaching for SITA stakeholders. You will also support our regular internal communication activities.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Own crisis communications plans, and preparedness.
  • Author crisis communications messaging: develop integrated communications campaigns and develop overarching company storylines for media.
  • Execute crisis communications in collaboration with the Executive team Plan and execute transformational communications for an internal audience in collaboration with the Executive team.
  • Support other corporate communication activities and provide creative ideas to gain media coverage.
  • In the absence of management colleagues, step in as a capable and trusted proxy to fulfill their duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Core competencies

  • Structured approach combined with strong communications acumen; you have an ability to develop and cultivate strong relationships with media representatives as well as identify opportunities to raise our corporate image through such relationships.
  • Expertise in crisis communications; you possess an ability to execute integrated communications strategy and vision.
  • Expertise in managing messaging for different customers and stakeholders in a global setting, across different cultures.
  • Ability to communicate and influence C-suite and across all levels of the organization.

 

Required qualifications

  • University degree completed in Media, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, Business, or equivalent.
  • 7 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of progression in public relations and/or marketing communications.
  • Extensive experience in crisis communications, media management, executive visibility, and investor relations.
  • Experience in communications planning and preparedness training.
  • Experience with leading teams.
  • Native-level English proficiency with exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
