Portfolio CTO (Borders Portfolio)
The Portfolio CTO is SITA's product portfolio "technology business partner". A key member of T&E management team overseeing the organization and delivery optimization of software and engineering products to the business. They are a senior executive, a consummate technologist, shaping and driving the execution of SITA technology strategy, transformations, deliveries on behalf of SITA Technology & Engineering.
As Portfolio CTO (Borders Portfolio) you will strive to materialize the technology contribution to SITA's ambition to be a $2bn company and the Digital Air Transport Industry expert by 2026. You will collaborate and align with the Product Portfolio Directors to define a coherent portfolio technology direction and transformation plan to deliver on product ambitions.
You will be leading the Borders Portfolio, which helps governments secure their borders against high-risk travelers while keeping them open for the low-risk majority. The complete set of products helps to modernize border security and ensures governments have the right information at the right time and in the right place to make informed decisions, while our risk assessment and identity management solutions help to identify the high-risk travelers even before they begin their journey.

What you will do
- Drive execution, remove impediments to deliver outcomes in matrix organization
- Ensuring software is designed with security, data privacy, automation in mind
- Continually evaluate air transport industry & technology trends for the portfolio
- Research on technologies that could increase our company's competitive advantage
- Make recommendations and executive decision on portfolio's technological needs
- Ensure that product target architecture support the priorities of the business
- Contribute to technology overall roadmap and ambition
- Ensure that software organization and operating model aligns with product needs
- Develop a technology budget and business case which relates to product ambitions
- Align with executives on strategic planning, budgeting, sourcing, ways-of-working
- Develop a strategic path to deliver on technology roadmap and skills acquisition
- Develop scalable technology sourcing to deliver on products and customer projects
- Optimize all aspects of technology budget and sourcing, doing "more with less"
- Benchmark performance and set guidance for software quality, teams' and 3rd-party productivity and efficiency, time-to-market, commitment to delivery
Who you are
- 10 years of Technology Management in global, distributed, matrix organization
- 10 years of experience in Product Oriented Organization, Agile and DevOps
- 5 years of Air Transport Industry experience
- Experience of managing internal and external software engineering teams
- Proven track record of shaping and executing on business and technology strategies
- Proven track record of managing technology transformations, including product refactoring, modernization to Cloud and SaaS models
- 7 years managing technology distributed teams, local, near-shore and off-shore
- Strategic Planning, Budgeting, P&L ownership experience
- Master's Degree in Computer Science / Business Administration.

- Ability to plan strategically
