What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at SitelogIQ?

Our CAD Technician will be responsible for performing drafting operations and detailed design using Autodesk AutoCAD & Autodesk Revit to produce technical drawings. You'll work independently under the supervision of our BIM Design Manager. Our design team works a hybrid arrangement with a few days at the office and a few days from home.
CAD Technician Responsibilities:
- Set-up drawings following current CAD standards.
- Draft and prepare layout drawings for building MEP systems with a focus on HVAC plans.
- Engage in technical design review and coordination process with the design team including engineers and designers.
- Revise drawings and documents to accommodate changes and enhancements.
CAD Technician Experience:
- Technical Degree in Computer Aided Drafting preferred
- Minimum of 2 years drafting experience
- Proficiency in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD Software
- Knowledge in the use of Autodesk Revit software preferred
- Knowledge with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Good communication skills; listening, comprehension and feedback
- Fundamental understanding of HVAC system design preferred
- Industry certifications preferred
- Must be able to pass background checks and clearances required by the PA Department of Education
