To provide the guests and students animal information in an entertaining and educational manner. The tour guide position will also be responsible for the safety and well-being of all guests boarding, riding, and exiting the safari vehicles. See animals that are playing, giving birth, growing up and even animals that are extinct in the wild. You will never make the same trip twice! With your safari driver you will provide a memory that will stay with guests for a lifetime while making some memories of your own.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Learn, memorize and retain educational scripts and animal facts of the Wild Safari collection, which includes 70 species and more than 1,200 animals.

Speak on and off microphone regarding the animals and exhibits.

Be able to conduct several tours a day.

Be able to lead school groups of about 30 guests through safari and Camp Aventura.

Ensure each guest has a memorable experience by entertaining and educating each individual they come in contact with.

Enforce all Park policies and procedures.

Monitor exhibits closely to ensure safety of animals and guests.

Maintain cleanliness of the guest side of all exhibits.

Communicate any hazards to leads, supervisors, and/or trainers as needed.

Complete any and all tasks as requested by Six Flags Management.
- Be able to gate guard

Support our Save an Icon conservation initiative by communicating that to guests.
Qualifications:

18 years or older
-
Strong public speaking skills and outgoing personality required.

Ability to talk on microphone
-
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Must have a flexible schedule including holidays and at least one weekend day.

Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, write and understand the English language

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb stairs or into large off road vehicles, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Physical Demands:

May be required to stand, sit, kneel, walk, bend and/or crouch for extended periods of time

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

May be regularly exposed extreme heat or cold, and wet/humid conditions.

Occasionally exposed to high and/or precarious places

May be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals (PPE will be supplied)
