Escort
- Keep the Scare-Actor’s safety in mind at all times. This may include escorting Scare-Actors through the park, both on stage and backstage, ensuring safe interaction between the Scare-Actors and guests, keeping track of Scare-Actors and handling any issues that may arise in an appropriate manner.
- Keep guest safety and satisfaction in mind. This will include maintaining order in your assigned area and assisting guests by answering questions regarding general park information or Fright Fest information.
- Wear and properly maintain your issued pants and supply approved shoes, Fright Fest Escort red polo and approved park jacket, if necessary.
- Monitor the performance of assigned performers to ensure Scare-Actors interact correctly with the guests as they were trained. Escorts & Scare-Actors must remain in their position until dismissed by their Supervisor.
- Escorts should provide direct feedback to the Scare-Actors if standards and rules are not followed and provide feedback to Supervisor on any behavior that may require coaching, counseling or disciplinary/commendable action needed to help maintain and improve the performance of the group.
- Diligently follow all scheduling in regards to parades, meals, breaks, etc.
- Report any unsafe acts and/or conditions to the Supervisor immediately.
- Ensure general housekeeping for the assigned street area, break area, make-up area and Show Wardrobe.
- Adheres to and enforces all park policies and procedures as outlined in their Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
- Train new personnel as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Make Up Artist
The primary function is to apply and maintain all Special Effect Make-Up including, but not limited to, Prosthetics, Masks, Airbrush & Standard Special Effect Make-Up. As well as performing Makeup touch ups throughout the shift. While maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to all sanitation guidelines. Once Make-Up has been applied to all performers, Make-Up Technicians will then participate in other areas working as Scare-Actors in a Haunted Attraction or in a themed street area, hosts for Productions or walking the park completing touch-up work on Scare-Actors.
- Must be proficient in job duties listed in the Entertainment Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
- Must maintain the set Sanitation Guidelines provided by the State and Make-Up Supervisor.
- Will clean worn masks & prosthetics and put them in their proper place at the end of the night.
- Fix minor repairs on masks & prosthetics if needed.
- Assist with smooth operation of the Make-Up Areas, applying Make-Up in a timely organized manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe atmosphere in all Make-Up areas. This may include, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning up trash, cleaning restrooms, and cleaning the storage/shop area.
- Spend time checking on Make-Up in Haunted Attractions and on the Themed Street Areas.
- Will adhere to and enforce all Park Policies and procedures as outlined in their Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
- Must purchase Park approved Fright Fest Crew T-Shirt and Black Pants must be worn at all times. (No Leggings Allowed)
- Report immediately any unsafe acts to the Make-Up Supervisor.
- Train new personnel as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- NOTE: These may include working in a Haunted Attraction as a Scare-Actor or Host, in a Themed Street Area, or Wardrobe areas
