We are building the $2.6 billion facilities (phase 1, 2) in Commerce, GA which is the largest economic development deal in Georgia in more than decade ago, and will generate over 2,000 jobs over the next few years.
SK battery America has partnered with major automakers and will produce batteries for electric vehicles that will shape the way of the future. Together, the facilities will reach a production capacity of 21.5 gigawatts, the equivalent of powering more than 400,000 vehicles.
What you will do (Essential Duties)
Quality Workforce Management
- Plan and optimize headcounts for quality: IQC/SQM, PQC/OQC,CS, Evaluation, and Planning
- Respond to employee relation issues regarding quality/quality operating workforce(sr. engineers and engineers, shift leaders, and operators)
- Coach and train sr. engineers and engineers that they will supervise to develop related skills and professional/general competencies
- Operate and manage the MSA for inspection workforce
- Operate and manage the inspection workforce qualification & evaluation system
- Appraise the sr. engineers and engineers performance and give productive feedback
- Address complaints and resolve problems of sr. engineers and engineers he/she supervises
Quality Standard Management
- Review the quality standard documents
- Lead communication and meetings with relevant departments for the review/revision of quality standard documents
Quality Budget Management
- Manage the operation/investment budgets regarding quality (IQC/SQM, PQC/OQC,CS, evaluation, planning)
Quality Cost Management
- Monitor monthly market percent defective and quality cost
- Review cost sharing ratio by issue, calculate cost, and make decisions
- Analyze, set up, and manage the history of an allowance (reserve) for the quality issue
Quality Inspection Management
- Review and manage the following: Supplier audit, process audit, incoming/outgoing inspections, in-line product quality inspection, etc.
Quality Evaluation Management
- Manage evaluation system
- Manage and monitor environment of quality evaluation building in light of 3Rs (Right material, Right quantity, Right position) and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
What we need from you (Requirements):
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 8-10 years of relevant experience and 3-5 years of supervisory experience in Quality
- Quality-related license/certification (e.g., VDA6.3 process, IADA16940, ISO90001, IATF1649, or VDA6.3 certificate examiner) preferred
- Experience in automotive/chemical manufacturing industry preferred
- Advanced in Microsoft Office
