Job Description
Title: Purchasing Clerk
Reports To: Purchasing Manager Status: Hourly
Overview of the Position:
Assist in the responsibility of all required MROS and product supplies are adequately stocked and ordered. Communicate with vendors and develop good working relationships with an array of suppliers in order ensure timely delivery of purchased products. In addition, store and maintain all required historical negotiation records.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of and adherence to the AS9110 Quality Management System
- Assist when needed in the purchase of goods for ACI
- Assist with documentation for the purchasing department
- Develop relationships with suppliers; may assist in the outside sourcing of manufacturing processes
- Have knowledge of and understand the AS9110 Quality Policy
- Have knowledge of and understand the Control of Non-conforming product(SQP-6.002)
- Have knowledge of and understand the AS9110 Procedures that apply to their specific job
(SPP1.001-1.003 Purchasing Procedure)
- Use protective equipment when appropriate
- Keep your work area clean and orderly
- Obey company rules and comply with the required dress code
- All other duties as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Must have HS Diploma or GED, 4 year degree from accredited college or university desired
- Must read and write the English language.
- Should have basic computer software and keyboarding skills.
- Should have intermediate mathematical skills (Concepts and calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions)
- Prior work experience in purchasing helpful but not require.
- Ability to multi-task in complex environments
Language Skills: Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Move inventory in various configurations using PPE and proper techniques.
- Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Is frequently required to talk or listen.
- Works in moderate noise levels.

Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 5x8
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Experience:
- Purchasing: 1 year (Preferred)
