Summary:
General laborers may perform maintenance tasks like facilities maintenance, general task, routine inspections, and ensuring facilities are in good condition.

Responsibilities:

• To sweep, clean, process and pick up trash and various other waste and recyclable materials throughout the facility and deposit it in the appropriate outgoing containers and to assist other in the removal of scrap materials.
• To operate various types of power floor cleaning machines, cleaning of machines and associated equipment, spread absorbent compounds, pigs and blankets and is part of the spill response team.
• To make up coolants, drain and refill oils, hydraulic fluids and cutting fluids and grease designated machinery and reservoirs.
• To maintain oil levels in all oil systems and gearboxes.
• Clean filtration systems, filters and reservoirs.
• Replace lubrication system parts as required or directed.
• To maintain lubrication and coolant records as directed.
• Performs lifting, loading, hauling, moving, digging, shoveling and other manual labor tasks.
• Operates lawn mowing and snow removal equipment, trucks and forklifts and performs normal maintenance of this equipment.
• Maintains grounds as directed.

Requirements:

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
