Skies the Limit Academy, a federal government contractor, child care center, and educational counseling service company, has an exciting opportunity to work as a Lead Teacher at the Brookhaven National Laboratory campus. The newly renovated center is looking for all lead teacher positions - infant, toddler, and preschool. The new location is located near the LIE, off of William Floyd Pkwy. The closest area are Yaphank, Shirley,

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing a differentiated instruction and curriculum based on age group served.
  • Employing teaching methods and techniques proper for child–age group category served.
  • Ensuring program schedules and activities are responsive to needs, interests, and abilities of each child.
  • Role modeling communication and interaction skills for children, direct services personnel, parents, and support staff.
  • Role modeling child guidance techniques for direct services personnel, parents and support staff.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in the educational field (Associates, Bachelors or Masters) or CDA .
  • proven experience in this field or a related field preferred, but willing to train mature, flexible individuals.

We are looking for someone who has availability Monday Through Friday during all of our hours of operation. Shifts can range anywhere from 6:45 am to 6:00 pm.

Compensation depends on your experience and education.
