Company DescriptionSkill Sprout provides In-Home ABA services throughout the state of Illinois, Indianaand Texas as well as clinic-based services. Job DescriptionThe Pediatric Psychologist reports directly to the Director of Diagnostics and Director of Social Skills. This position will be responsible for conducting and interpreting diagnostic assessments and screenings for children and adolescents within an assigned region. This position will also be responsible for direct therapeutic services, including social skills therapy and psychotherapy, while providing regional management of the social skills therapy program. This position has full-time employment status. Pediatric Psychologist duties include:Assessments Diagnostics:- Complete comprehensive case records review prior to evaluation, as appropriate- Determine and conduct appropriate and individualized psychological evaluations based on presenting concerns, including interview format, standardized testing, and direct observation- Act as clinician on multi-disciplinary Autism diagnostic team, as needed- Conduct developmental and Autism screenings, as deemed appropriate- Collaborate across disciplines for most accurate diagnosis, as needed- Develop appropriate recommendations based on evaluation results- Provide counseling-based, professional and empathetic results meetings with parent or guardian following psychological assessments Social Skills:- Complete thorough social skills assessments and accurately interpret skill level within various domains and provide targeted treatment recommendations- Develop appropriate recommendations based on evaluation resultsConsultation- Consult with other clinicians regarding client and family needs within a trans-disciplinary service delivery model- Collaborate with the Intake Coordinator or direct supervisor to initiate services for clients and families- Consult directly with families regarding services and in-home intervention ideas- Consult regularly with direct supervisor for support and clinical supervision- Consult with outside providers and/or school personnel, as appropriateSupervision/Management  Diagnostics:- Provide regularly scheduled clinician, intern, and/or psych technician management and supervision, as applicable Social Skills:- Provide clinical supervision and operational management to social skills therapists at assigned location according to program policy and procedure- Supervise local peer model program (scheduling, recruitment initiatives, retention program, etc.)- Based on new research and changing client needs, contribute to social skills curriculum and intervention libraryDirect Therapy- Provide direct mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families, which includes psychotherapy and social skills therapy- Use professional literature and evidence-based research to make clinical decisions- Conduct therapeutic interventions in multiple formats, such as individual, family, and/or group, as deemed appropriate- Develop individualized and appropriate therapy plans based on family priorities and evaluation results- Create measurable, data-driven, and behavioral-based treatment goals- Accurately and reliably collect data according to program policies- Provide regular data-based progress monitoring, re-evaluation/progress reports, and modification of treatment goals and interventions as neededDocumentation/Paperwork- Complete reports with professional language, thoroughly, and in a timely manner- Complete clinical documentation and billing accurately and within set timelines - Handle confidential clinical records in a professional, ethical manner and in compliance with HIPAA Privacy Rule- Develop comprehensive, formal training/procedural documents as needed- Complete all mandatory trainings and documents accurately- Completes all other paperwork as requestedOther Duties as Assigned- Maintain billable productivity expectation set for position, including direct therapy as needed- Potential travel involved PRN to provide regional assessments, and/or trainings- Willing to work weekends and evenings as neededQualificationsThis is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual with experience in psychological assessment and mental health services with children and families to help Skill Sprout clinical services continue to grow, improve clinical accuracy, and further enhance our quality of care. The successful candidate will work in a trans-disciplinary service delivery model and work collaboratively with a high-performance professional team.The Pediatric Psychologist will have the following experience and attributes: • Doctoral degree in Psychology required (PhD, PsyD)• State of Illinois license required• Extensive clinical diagnostic experience and psychological report writing with the pediatric population• Preference for candidates with experience working with children/adolescents with a wide range of symptoms, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, etc.• Preference for candidates with experience providing social skills therapy• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details• Proficient in using technology for communication, documentation and reporting purposes • Superior and professional interpersonal skills to communicate positively and effectively with clients, outside providers, and colleagues• Experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group• Demonstrate self-motivation and provide high quality clinical care• Able to work independently as a leader and as a peer team member, in a dynamic, fast paced environment including one that is growing quickly and building structure as it goes along; must be flexible with changing processes• Excellent problem-solving skills to field and resolve clinical or operational issues that may arise• Must be able to accommodate a flexible and changing schedule as needs of the clients and company change• Personal and professional qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Skill Sprout’s missionAdditional InformationTo apply for this position, please visit www.skillsprout.com, select job opportunities, click Pediatric Neuropsychologist, and select apply now.
