What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Apprentice position at Skillit?
We are searching for Electrical Apprentices for several opportunities in the area. You will assist with electrical tasks. You must be able to understand and abide by all electrical safety regulations, procedures and operations. You will train under the supervision of a journey-level electrician to learn the skills for the job.

Here’s what Skillit needs from you:
- Limited ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work with tools, such as, power and non-powered hand tools
- Willing and able to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions
- Ability to work with equipment, such as, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders and power buggies
- Ability to handle materials that can weigh up to 200Ibs
- Strong attention to detail
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools
- Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (Drills, Crimpers, Cutters, etc.)
- Lift, position, and fasten objects
- Prepare, handle, and supply of materials and tools used by electrical trades
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
- Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and established procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
