We are seeking a Full-Time Marketing and Communications Coordinator to work at our Corporate office in State College, PA. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a key member of Skills corporate team. Supporting all of Skills’ key business units, this position is responsible for coordinating a wide variety of marketing, communication, and public relations activities, with a strong emphasis on social media coordination. This position also provides administrative support for all board meetings, management retreats and meetings ( including meeting notifications, monitoring attendance, material preparation and meeting minutes) The schedule for this position will primarily be a Monday-Friday 8 am- 4 pm, but some flexibility is required.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Associate’s degree in relevant field, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3 years of experience in social media, marketing, advertising, communications, and/or public relations
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certificate in Principles of Public Relations a plus

SPECIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES:

• Strong critical and strategic thinking capabilities
• Exceptional communication skills, including strong verbal and copy writing ability
• Proven experience consistently delivering effective strategic social media programs, with demonstrated ability to develop annual and campaign-based social media plans
• Familiarity with web design, email programs, and content management systems desired
• Strong writing, editing, layout and design skills, including ability to communicate with designers
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
