Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 1st 6am – 3:30pm, M-TH 4/10 On call
Pay Range: $52K - $60k
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
- Locates source of problem by observing mechanical device in operation; listening for problems; using diagnostic tools
- Dismantles equipment or machinery using hand tools or power tools to examine components for defect or to remove defective component(s)
- Clean and measure components to verify dimensional conformance using test instruments such as micrometers, calipers and dial indicators
- Studies blueprints, schematics and diagrams to determine specifications and construction of equipment or circuitry in order to diagnose equipment malfunction and or verify proper operation
- Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, saws and hand scrapers to repair or manufacture replacement parts for equipment or machinery
- Install equipment and machinery using forklifts, hoists, cranes and dollies
- Level and anchor machinery and equipment
