The successful candidate will join the Emerging Markets Tech development team primarily responsible for designing and building enterprise level applications and also includes enhancements to existing applications.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team to coordinate delivery of software application
Effectively conveys message in both written and verbal development discussions
Interact with PMs and users to gather requirements
Interact with Business Partners and come up with solutions
Designs, develops, enhance, debugs, supports, maintain, and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions.
Learn new technologies when directed as future development may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools
Work in a fast paced environment, under minimal supervision, with guidance from senior team members
Education:
Bachelor/Masters degree in Engineering/Science/Mathematics
Experience Range :
5-9 years of experience
Mandatory skills:
Hands on experience in Python
Good understanding on OOP fundamentals, Data structures, Design patterns
Hands-on Software Development experience with any other Object Oriented languages like C /Java would be a plus
Good knowledge and experience with message based systems (Tibco RV/IBM MQ/Zero MQ)
solid SQL and related DB skills - indexing, transaction management (Sybase/Oracle/MS SQL)
Good working knowledge of software configuration management systems - bug tracking, source control, build management (JIRA/SVN/CVS/Cruise Control)
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Good communication skills
Flexible to adopt new technologies
Desired skills:
Demonstrable knowledge in Python/Shell/Perl scripting
Exposure to Investment Banking (preferably Rates or Derivatives) Domain will be an added advantage
