AUTOMATION ENGINEER- FIELD OPERATIONS

JOB DESCRIPTION

Day to Day:

Skiltrek is looking for an Automation Engineer Designer, who is sitting remote with 80%-100% travel. In this role you will be traveling to all completed/in-progress projects to audit and evaluate electrical/controls team to implement changes needed. You will also be in charge of taking the designs and assuring that the programming is done correctly and where it should be. Extensive background and knowledge in Controls and Automation of HVAC systems is necessary to be successful in this role.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Must Haves:

3-5 years related work experience in the building automation/controls and/or installation of mechanical HVAC equipment

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Field, Computer Science, or Technical related field.

3-5 years of experience traveling to different sites AFTER project completion to manage electrical/controls team to audit and implement suggestion where its needed

Experience working for other building automation vendors (JCI, Client, Alerton, Automated Logic, Siemens, Halergen etc.)

Experience with validation, commissioning, and project implementation of Client control systems, reviewing building automation systems

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Plusses:

Certifications: CEM, PE, LEED, CEA, BEP, PMP

Understanding of Schneider Electric Client platforms (Vista, Continuum, I/Net, and/or Invensys)

Knowledge of industry codes and standards: ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, UL, etc. as well as of electrical safety standards and practices
