General Purpose:

The general purpose of the job is to coordinate all aspects of the purchasing cycle for Dynastar/Lange/Look/Kerma and Rossignol Nordic and Bike products, from the integration of initial line list information coming from the product development team in Europe, sample ordering and logistics, and providing forecasting support to the Management team, through purchase order generation and placement based on customer orders and anticipated total needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Costing:

  • Works with the sales team to coordinate pricing with product costing.
  • Manages price and cost information in the company’s ERP system (M3).

Forecasting:

  • Coordinates the development, communication and adherence to the forecasting calendar.
  • Responsible for forecast documentation and communication internally.

Purchasing:

  • Coordinates the development, communication and adherence to the purchasing calendar.
  • Works with the Division Managers/Product Managers to determine purchase quantities in the appropriate timing.
  • Analyze current orders and historical trends to determine proper size distribution of purchase quantities.
  • Ongoing and constant monitoring of inventory availably to evaluate current purchase needs.
  • Communicates purchase quantities to Europe and factories as required.
  • Updates purchase information in the company’s ERP system (M3).
  • Follow purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery or communication and reaction to changes in delivery plans.
  • Coordinates order book communications/changes with Dealer Services.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor's degree (B.A.-B.S.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong computer skills:  Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.

Organizational skills for efficient office control are mandatory.

Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.

Solid decision making skills and the ability to work independently.

Experience:

Previous experience in product management, sales support or vendor relations in the sporting goods industry is a plus.

Work Environment:

General Office Setting.

Travel Requirements:

Some travel may be required.
