General Job Description:

The food safety representative is responsible for ensuring proper GMP policies are being followed on the production floor by fellow employees. Additional responsibilities include, inventory control and management, occasional administrative tasks as assigned by the food safety coordinator and other duties as assigned.

This Position reports directly to the Food Safety Coordinator, Director of Food Safety and the Plant Manager.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for enforcing food safety and GMP policies on the production floor.

Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly pre start up inspections and internal auditing.

Inventory control and monitoring

Assisting the Food Safety Coordinator with duties as assigned.

Data Entry

Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma or GED is required

Experience:

Prior experience as a safety professional is preferred but not required.

Prior HACCP training is preferred but not required.

Experience in a fast paced production environment is also preferred but not required.

Key Competencies:

Ability to read and write clearly and concisely in both English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Computer skills

Ability to meet deadlines

Ability to work individually or in a group

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,010.96 - $46,980.94 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Work setting:

• In-person
