The Retail Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and providing recommendations.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of smoke shop/vending/retail space products, including tobacco, vaping devices, accessories, apparel, and related merchandise.
- Promotes positive public and employee relations.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, comp, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring proper change and receipt issuance.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer information.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, restocking products as needed.
- Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, and restocking shelves.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to the store manager.
- Assist in receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments, checking for accuracy and quality.
- Always presents oneself in a neat and clean appearance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and could obtain the appropriate license pursuant to California regulations.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred.
