Skyline Education Preschool is a private preschool that shares the love of learning with our students and families. We are located at 2020 N. Arizona Ave. Chandler, AZ 85225 (corner of Arizona Ave. & Warner) inside Vector Prep & Arts. We are searching for an awesome, outgoing, well rounded Assistant teacher that will work with ages 3-5 as well as school age children ages 5-12. You need to have the ability to prepare materials, organize age appropriate activities & centers, manage sign in and out sheets, manage face to name sheets as well as be available to attend professional development meetings. It is expected that you understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. An ideal teacher should be able to communicate with parents and students in a professional matter, follow ADHS licensing requirements, Quality First standards & NECPA standards and most importantly be a self starter. The most successful candidates demonstrate strong classroom management, training skills, a caring personality, punctuality, flexible schedule patience, and previous experience working with children ages 3-5 on occasion working with school age children. **Potential for more hours, if you qualify as an aide for Vector Prep & Arts Academy.

Tuesday-Friday 11:30-5:00
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, forms and files
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
Requirements:
*TB Test upon hire
*Fingerprint Clearance Card
*High Energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents and to foster a team environment)
*Registered on Arizona Early Childhood Registry
*DES Health & Safety Trainings Completed
*Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, or related field with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE
*2 or more years working in an early childhood setting
