Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist

Skyline Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently searching for a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing/ Infection Preventionist Nurse to join our team!

The primary purpose of the ADON/IP Nurse is to assist in the planning, organizing, development, and direction or the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with the guidelines and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results.

**Daily Pay Available**

ADON Responsibilities:

• Assist Director in managing clinical operations of the nursing department.
• Develop nursing programs to ensure quality patient services.
• Plan and assign workload to nursing staff on shift basis.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff on their daily job duties.
• Ensure nursing staff follow department procedures and policies.
• Address patient complaints promptly to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Ensure that nursing staff perform assigned duties accurately and timely.
• Provide job training to nursing staff to meet department goals.
• Ensure that nursing programs comply with federal, state and local standards.

Infection Preventionist Responsibilities: 

• Partners with the Medical Director to develop, implement and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Partners with facility leaders, local, state, and national agencies on activities related to infection prevention.
• Oversees the operations of the infection prevention, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and relevant safety programs.
• Accountable for surveillance of healthcare acquired and community acquired infections.
• Manages goal setting process for system, unit and physician goals related to healthcare acquired infections and conditions.
• Lead industrial hygiene program to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, mitigate, and control workplace conditions.
