SkySpecs launched the world’s first completely autonomous blade inspection product in 2016 with a custom designed drone system. Since then, SkySpecs has inspected over 90% of the wind turbines in the US and we’ve expanded globally, becoming the world leader in understanding the health of turbine blades. Identifying issues with turbine blades is only the first step. In 2019, SkySpecs launched Horizon to be a platform for SkySpecs to offer a multi-layered solution for customers that includes: data collection, wind turbine blade engineering expertise, and a place for all stakeholders to collaborate to manage and analyze massive amounts of data, spot trends, and create plans for high-cost repair campaigns. In 2021, SkySpecs acquired two companies specializing in wind turbine drivetrain monitoring and financial management, further expanding our asset management portfolio. Ultimately, this will help reduce the cost and risk of operations for the industry.

Due to our strong growth with multiple large customers, SkySpecs is seeking an individual to join our European sales team as an Senior Account Executive for Southern Europe, assigned territories in APAC, The Middle East, and Africa. Your role is to work with your Sales and Operations colleagues to maximize the value that the customer derives from SkySpecs’ products and services. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing prospective customers for SkySpecs Horizon SaaS platform, Solutions, and other associated products that SkySpecs offers. You will need to have a thorough understanding of the SkySpecs Software, Services and Solutions products, as well as an understanding of the challenges that our customers face.

As a, Senior Account Executive, you will:

  • Grow SkySpecs revenue by effectively managing existing customer accounts and convincing new customers to purchase SkySpecs products or services.
  • Work closely with the Sales, Operations, and Solutions teams to ensure customers’ understanding of the services and capabilities available to them and that their needs are being met and communicated
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Support the Sales Operations team with problem solving and customer communications
  • Identify customer needs and take ownership of both new and upsell opportunities
  • Create and present proposals, following SkySpecs guidelines, to prospects and customers
  • Maintain and update Salesforce CRM and the other internal programs and processes
  • Lead both web and direct face-to-face product demonstrations to educate customers on the features of our product

Requirements of the job:

  • 5 Years of demonstrated experience in selling complex enterprise software products with SaaS or technical products
  • Experience navigating and supporting large complex customer relationships
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage project tasks, timelines, and deliverables
  • Customer-focused with a hands on, self-starter mentality
  • BA/BS in Business or Engineering or commensurate demonstrated successful experience in a similar role in a highly technical environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

    Bonus points for:

    • 3 years Experience working with International global utilities
    • MA/MS in Business or Engineering
    • Renewable or wind energy asset management experience
    • Experience in startup or scaleup companies
