As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Construction/Project Manager to join our team. The role is based in Brooklyn with occasional travel to other sites in the New York Area. The role offers the opportunity to oversee large operational projects that are critical to the success of the organization. The ideal candidate will have eight or more years of experience in successfully managing projects of increased size and complexity. They will have experience in managing, planning, tracking, and implementing large telecommunication projects including the coordination and construction of Fiber Optic and Wireless, Networks. Site acquisition, client contact, service install and migrations projects from initiation to completion. Ensure project completion according to timeline and specifications, while identifying and managing project risks. Works with stakeholders and project team to establish and achieve goals. Coordinates the activities of a cross-functional team. Communicates project status with the Executive Team, Stakeholders, Sponsors, and Project team.
You will lead and assist with the development and execution of projects and plans supporting the organization's long-term Operational Strategy. The candidate will supervise day-to-day activities/project teams and project progress, establish administrative guidance on project execution and ensure compliance with predetermined project deliverables. Ensure adherence to project budgets and provide updates on monthly variance reports, identify and course correct project issues and risks, and assist in the development of response plans to resolve inconsistencies. You will understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues
Qualifications
- 8 years’ experience in telecommunications construction terrestrial and wireless required
- You have 8 or more years of personnel and functional leadership experience and/or project management experience
- 5 years of progressive Construction Project Management experience is required
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Experience working in, and leading large multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
- You may have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related industry.
- You will have a working knowledge of AutoCAD/Microstation drafting software
- You may have working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs
- Strong collaboration, professional presence and conflict-resolution skills required

Responsibilities
- You will supervise day-to-day activities. Manage projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications within the timeline and project goals
- Uses formal project management processes and tools to manage resources, risks, and changes
- Identifies project scope and key milestones and tasks
- Manages a cross-functional team; coordinates tasks to project completion
- Technical skills to interpret construction methods, drawings of the project, power requirements, etc.
- Collaborates with engineers, electricians, subcontractors, and other specialists to determine the specifications of the project
- Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and materials and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Maintains communication with stakeholders, provides status reports to project sponsor, stakeholders, project team, and resources
- Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning, and presents solutions and/or options to executive management
- Create and maintain project plans, dashboards, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
