Resolute performance Iron is a specialty steel contractor seeking a passionate committed individual to serve as a drafter/coordinator. The majority of our work is in the steel construction industry and solar energy construction. We have an opening for an in-house drafter/coordinator, and we are looking for a motivated person to help create standard detailed drawings for installation and fabrication of steel projects, and also to create sketches, plans and details for general site layouts, structural steel layouts, architectural plans and details.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create detailed designs with AutoCAD software.
- Assist in the project design phase helping organize drawings and coordination with our outside engineers, architects and drafters.
- Help with the preparation and submission of RFI's Assist with project pursuit and procurement including preparation of RFQ responses.
- Maintain and update project schedules.
- Participate in employee continuing education Learn and utilize ProCore, Viewpoint and other relevant industry software.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company.
- Support our goal of achieving zero accidents.
Qualifications
- AutoCAD software skills are a must, and a basic understanding of structural steel design standards would be helpful
- Knowledgeable of the steel/concrete industry
- Ability to read architectural/structural plans and design documents
- Familiar with standard structural steel shapes
- Basic understanding of estimating and job costs for steel projects
- Understanding of design/build concepts
- Organized, attentive, and detail oriented
- Familiarity with other drafting software such as: AutoCAD - 3D, Tekla-Steel Detailing, Advance Steel, ArchiCAD, Revit, BIM Modeling, Adobe products, and Sketch UP

- This position reports to Division Manager
- We are willing to train the right candidate that has the basic required skills, motivation and willingness to learn
- Office location is in Phoenix, AZ Office and shop environment requiring sitting and standing
