GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Education Requirement(s): Must have a minimum of a completed technical school course of study in an Information Technology related field.
- Education Preferences: Associate’s (or higher) degree in Information Technology
- Experience Requirement(s): Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant successful Information Technology experience with increasing levels of responsibility that demonstrate interpersonal, technical, and leadership qualities necessary for success in overseeing complex areas of Information Technology, Operations, and maintenance experience.
- Experience Preferences: Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant Information Technology experience with increasing levels of responsibility that demonstrate interpersonal, technical, and leadership qualities necessary for success in overseeing complex areas of Information Technology, operations, and maintenance experience.
- Supervisory Experience Requirement(s): 2 years of supervisory experience in an Information Technology, operations, or other setting.
- Supervisory Experience Preferences: 5 years of supervisory experience in an Information Technology, operations, or other setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
LEADERSHIP:
- Ensure adherence to licensing requirements, CARF standards, and all local, state, and federal laws.
- Oversee coordination of vehicle assignments amongst numerous locations.
- Seek economical and effective avenues for vehicle acquisitions.
- Lead and coordinate all maintenance responsibilities related to Festival of Trees and other events as requested.
- Train staff on use of maintenance request platform, and hold staff accountable for proper documentation and response.
CUSTOMER SERVICES:
- Interact with persons served professionally and respectfully at all times and respond to their needs in a dignified and timely manner.
- Act proactively to ensure maintenance, equipment, household, and vehicle issues are resolved promptly.
- Maintain clear communication with department leaders and staff related to and delays in completing maintenance requests, vehicles repairs, and purchases.
- Oversee that vehicle maintenance issues, providing staff support during vehicle incidents, and following through on all vehicle repairs are done in a timely manner.
COMMUNICATION:
- Provide clear, concise, and detailed communication, both verbally and in written reports, documentation, and correspondence.
- Attend regular staff meetings for the technology department to ensure continuous and accurate flow of information.
- Ability to monitor and report progress on projects, resources, and issues to supervisor.
- Oversee the clear and accurate communication of vehicle issues to those assigned to use such vehicle. Coordinate alternate vehicle use when vehicle(s) are out of commission.
TEAMWORK AND COOPERATION:
- Assist in the development of processes and systems that allow that facilitate the highest level of work efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
- Work closely with all departments to contribute expertise regarding property maintenance, healthy and safe environments, architectural barrier removal, and future planning related to facilities and vehicles.
- Participate as a member of Safety and Accessibility Committee.
POLICY AND PROCEDURE:
- Refer to and follow all SLI policies and procedures.
- Report all violations of policies and/or procedures in a timely manner.
- Adhere to the organization’s code of ethics, as well as illness, incident, and accident reporting procedures.
- Adhere to confidentiality and privacy practices.
- Provide services in accordance with SLI corporate policy and procedure and within standards for licensing and accreditation.
PUBLIC RELATIONS:
- Follow SLI’s dress code and represent the organization in a professional manner at all times.
- Be a positive role model and represent a solid public image for constituents and the organization by exhibiting appropriate behavior, dress, and hygiene.
- Participate in community and civic organizations as assigned.
- Immediately report all press inquiries to the Chief Advancement and Community Engagement Officer or the President/CEO.
- Ensure the maintenance of all SLI properties including lawns, shrubs, and land. Be mindful of the appearance, both interior and exterior.
ATTENDANCE:
- Complete leave requests according to policy and do not abuse leave policy.Follow assigned work schedule and attend all required trainings and meetings.
- Notify supervisor(s) of tardiness and absences as soon as possible prior to the shift, training, or meeting.
- Use work time productively.
- Salaried staff are expected to work whatever time necessary to complete job duties; at times, weekends and nights may be required.
- Respond to facility and vehicle emergencies after hours or delegate a back-up if unable to respond.Hourly staff must follow assigned work schedule and hours, unless variation approved by supervisor(s).
- Respond to calls from alarm and security companies.
EFFICIENCY AND ORGANIZATION:
- Ability to identify and recommend new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; review requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
- Ability to direct and coordinate professional services such as systems analysis and design, installation and maintenance of information, communication, and office automation systems.
- Obtain necessary bids and proof of insurance according to SLI policies and procedures.
- Oversee all aspects of fleet and facilities management.
ADAPTABILITY AND FLEXIBILITY:
- Respond and adjust to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, strategies, and processes.
- Demonstrate strong communication, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be available some evenings and weekends, to respond to IT needs and emergencies.
JOB SKILLS AND JUDGMENT:
- Demonstrate ability to ensure the integrity and reliability of computerized information systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored.
- Demonstrate ability to maintain pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of IT staff, equipment, and procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency with installation, configuration, imaging, security, troubleshooting and maintenance of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server, Microsoft Office software, Microsoft 365 products, MDM, RMM, and other as necessary.
- Ability to install, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain company network, to include firewalls, routers, switches, access points, NVRs, DVRs, cameras, access control systems, IP phones, and any other devices as required.
- Ability to prepare, implement, and execute IT, fleet, and facilities budgets.
- Ability to purchase, rent, lease, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs.
- Develop and monitor Technology Plan with CTO. Develop, review, revise, and test Disaster Response and Recovery Plan (DRARP) at least annually and as needed.
- Must be able to adapt and function with changing technology and agency needs.
- Ensure adherence to licensing requirements, CARF standards, OSHA, and the Department of Urban Development (HUD) requirements, city ordinances, and all local, state, and federal laws.
TRAINING:
- Complete required orientation and training in a timely manner.
- Assist training staff on computer usage as necessary.
