This role is a key position within the Quality Assurance Department responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across all programs and counties served by SMA. Works in the Quality Assurance Department collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and developing reports on key evaluation findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in the quality assurance field. Two years of supervisory experience and/ or experience leading projects to completion required. Experience in data entry and analysis and extensive knowledge in Excel required. Experience with computer applications required. Experience with CARF requirements preferred.
Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current best practices of behavioral health treatment
Excellent written and oral communication abilities are required as well as highly developed computer skills with office automation products such as spreadsheets, word processors and presentation software
Must have knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to complex projects from the preplanning phase through completion and final delivery of the project
Ability to work with complex, detailed, confidential and sensitive information and the ability to complete complex evaluation projects to assess the performance and the management of programs
Knowledge of evaluation concepts, methods, and standards to include auditing, and project or program management necessary to conduct very broad evaluative assignments requiring an integrated analysis of a number of different operational programs, functions
Ability to prepare presentations and briefings, skillfully and logically adapt collected information and data gathered into clear, concise format to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations
Responsibilities
Provides supervision and oversight to the Process Improvement Specialist position
Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement
Researches, develops, and implements related best practices
Develops metrics to track performance and goal achievement
Identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement strategy
Serves as internal consultant relative to continuous improvement initiative
Convenes cross-functional work teams on critical improvement projects
Identifies and develops plans to improve performance which can be incorporated throughout the agency
Participates in the internal and external auditing of the agency as needed
Completion of other duties as assigned
