This position is responsible for the recruitment of staff, volunteers and interns for the organization in compliance with state and federal laws. Responsibilities include creation and implementation of recruitment strategies, talent pipeline, processes for the selection and on-boarding and metrics and reporting. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will coordinate the applicant process and participate in the posting, sourcing and pre-screening of candidates for staff, intern and volunteer positions.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Human Resources or related field and/or a minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience.
Experience in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing and employment branding
Understanding of all selection methods and techniques
Proficient in the use of social media and job boards
Proficient in the use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and databases
Excellent communicator
Well-organized
Strategic thinker
Responsibilities
Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans using innovating sourcing
Build and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers to understand goals of the location and the open position to best support hiring needs
Plan and conduct recruitment and selection process (interviews, screening calls, etc.)
Develop and maintain relationships in the community and with local schools to fill pipeline with qualified candidates
In partnership with Marketing staff, lead employment branding initiatives
Ensure positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
Organize and attend career fairs and other relevant events
Provide regular staffing and hiring updates
Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement
Assist in employee retention and development strategies
Other related duties as assigned
