What are the responsibilities and job description for the AP/AR Clerk position at Smart Business Solutions?
We are looking for a responsible AP/AR Clerk to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Day to day includes managing all transactions related to our company’s receivables and payables, handling invoicing, managing collections, posting payments, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and ordering office supplies and ensuring that the best practices are followed in all financial processes.
Skills
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
- Proficiency in Quickbooks or equivalent accounting software
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Manage daily accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions and ensure that everything is billed and paid on time.
- Process invoices, record payments, and track expenses.
- Conduct collections efforts to ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements.
- Order and manage inventory of office supplies while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
