Handy Man

Position Overview:

Smart Fix Home Solutions is seeking a dedicated and skilled Handyman Technician to join our growing team. This individual will be hired and trained as a professional handyman and must be committed to providing top-quality services to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in construction or handyman work and be willing to undergo additional training to ensure they meet our company’s high standards of craftsmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of home repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, light fixtures, irrigation systems, landscape renovations, pressure washing, and mulching.

• Diagnose problems and implement effective repair solutions for residential and commercial properties.

• Ensure all work is completed in a timely and professional manner, exceeding customer expectations.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all job sites.

• Uphold the company’s reputation by consistently delivering high-quality results and exceptional customer service.

• Communicate with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.

• Work independently and collaboratively with other team members when necessary.

• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all work complies with local building codes and regulations.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in construction or handyman services (minimum of 2 years preferred).

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Must be willing to undergo company-provided training to expand skills and knowledge.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a “can-do” attitude to go above and beyond for customer satisfaction.

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

• Must have reliable transportation (non-negotiable).

• Must pass a comprehensive background check (non-negotiable).

• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Flexibility in work hours, including some evenings and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in specific trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical) are a plus.

• Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 38 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Ability to Relocate:

• Fort Myers, FL: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: On the road
