Safety Services Manager

• SMART Safety Gulf Coast

  General Description:

  The Safety Services Manager plays a key role in the daily operations of Smart Safety Gulf Coast to ensure customers are served in a consistent manner. This includes serving as the customer interface manager for selected customer relationships, developing new customers, and helping define and implement consistent operating processes. Key activities include:

  Essential Functions:

  1. Member of Smart's Management Team: Play a key role in providing input to developing Smart's business model.
  2. Customer Account Management: Serve as account manager for assigned safety program management customers. This includes meeting customer's expectations, and selling additional services.

  3. Sales Process Assistance: Assist as needed with sales calls and proposals to current and new customers.

  4. Work Planning: Assist with calendaring and coordinating operational activities involving customers, including utilization of Smart's resources.

  5. Training: Conduct various customer training classes, as needed. Train Smart's staff on operating processes.

  6. Operating Processes: Play a lead role in making sure Smart's operating processes are implemented and consistently followed. This include:

1. Forms
2. Reporting
3. Customer data management
4. Field Safety Program Management
5. Claims Management
6. Communication protocols. (Voicemail, email, etc.)
7. Customer meeting activities.
8. Coaching/guiding peers on consistent operating processes.

1. Minimum 3- 5 years relevant experience in EH&S field with program management / development responsibilities.
2. Technical / Undergraduate / Master Degree in safety or related field desired.
3. General construction experience strongly preferred.
4. OSHA Certified Outreach Trainer desired.
5. Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
6. Excellent oral and written communication - including creating & delivering effectivetraining.
7. Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
