LabVantage Developer - Remote

SMCI is seeking a LabVantage Developer to join our Pharmaceutical team located in California.

This is a long term contract - 12 months and 100% remote.

The clients' LIMS group is building out an elite team to tackle 7-8 projects (listed below) over the next few years. Each team will be comprised of a BSA/Val Lead, PM, and Developer and will be assigned to a few projects.

This is a specialized Developer with extensive LabVantage experience. Can sit anywhere, not restricted to US.

• Deployment of Raw Materials Design Vertical
• Instrument Interfacing of Lab Equipment
• Jasper Reports & Forms
• Advanced LIMS Calculation & Automation Functionality
• Technical Upgrade Assessments
• 3rd Party System Integration
• SQL Optimization

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise within LabVantage system/database, Java, JavaScript, and SQL development skills. This person will conduct test methods, understand LabVantage Servers (SDC), with the ability to customize and create new instrument interfaces, and utilize Java, JavaScript, and Jasper Reports extensively.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly developing solutions and troubleshooting LabVantage system through utilization of Java, JavaScript, Jasper Reports.
• Performing development and troubleshooting user needs within modules, designing, configuration, and upgrades/patches.
• Working on adhoc queries API.
• Participate in opportunities for improving functionality and performance.
• Assisting specifically with LabVantage support and test method set-up, generation, and troubleshooting, while working within SQL database within these aspects.
• Setting up requirements required for specific methods, and then working on needed method creation ensuring time parameters are met with exceptional deliverables.
• Developing additional required methods as needed and newly received methods.
• Troubleshooting day-to-day user issues and providing solutions, while ensuring thorough understanding.

Requirements:

• 7 years of technical LabVantage experience, to ideally include LabVantage Servers and SDC.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, and Jasper Reports.
• Expertise in custom coding for customer portals through webservices/REST APIs.
• Experience dealing with COAs (Certificate of Analysis).
• Effective communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks accordingly.
