Position Summary:
Perform warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials. Load, unload, move, or store items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions. Operate a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Provide assistance or direction to storage yard workers.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Possesses strong organizational skills.
· Is detail-oriented and capable of noticing small errors on orders or defective aspects of products.
· Maintains physical stamina and strength required to move heavy equipment and product weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Works well with others.
· Exhibits strong communication skills, essential for working with other employees and with customers.
· Demonstrates knowledge of computer systems, and the ability to fix any unexpected glitches with these systems.
· Demonstrates the alertness and physical dexterity required to operate heavy machinery.
· Must be capable of managing time effectively and multi-tasking as necessary.
· Demonstrates familiarity with all warehouse safety precautions and is able to observe these at all times.
· High school diploma or GED is a plus
· Must be certified to operate forklifts and other machinery used for moving and transporting products.
· Must have experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory management software used by the company.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
