Responsibilities:
- Perform surgical procedures on patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct pre-operative consultations to assess patient needs and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Utilize medical documentation systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft to record patient information and treatment details.
- Follow aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile surgical environment and prevent infections.
- Interpret medical imaging results to aid in surgical planning and decision-making.
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate their overall health and suitability for surgery.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to assist in surgical planning and implant placement.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.
- Specialize in pediatric dentistry, providing dental care for children in a compassionate and gentle manner.
- Collaborate with other dental professionals in a dental office setting to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of a surgical residency program.
- Valid medical license to practice as a surgeon.
- Proficiency in medical documentation systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft.
- Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Experience with medical imaging interpretation for surgical planning purposes.
- Strong patient assessment skills to evaluate suitability for surgery and identify potential risks or complications.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software for surgical planning and implant placement.
- Specialization or experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a dental office setting, collaborating with other dental professionals.
