What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Smith Agency?
Serenity is a Day treatment program that serves students from kindergarten to transition (21). We follow the public school schedule, including extended school year (ESY). We have high staff to student ratios, and we serve students with identified Intellectual Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. As an SLP team, we strongly encourage each other's individual strengths, and value each other's knowledge as a collaborative team.
Our ideal candidate has knowledge and/or willingness to learn about Augmentative and Alternative Communication, will be comfortable providing push-in services in the classroom and/or community, and a basic understanding of ABA and serious emotional disabilities.
The Licensed SLP will:
- Comprehensive evaluations, and development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Participation in classroom/team meetings
- Interdisciplinary collaboration
- Support students in vocational training
- Classroom training/coaching as needed
- Provide services per IEP under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Participation in classroom/team meetings
- Interdisciplinary collaboration
- Support students in vocational training
- Materials preparation, communication system programming
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
