JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for working through the entire software development life cycle from a QA (Quality Assurance) standpoint, including analyzing functional and technical specifications on a wide range of applications. Responsible for designing, writing, and executing automated tests and use cases along with other team members following and maintaining testing standards. Organizes manual and automated test plans using technical system experience with a focus on QA, test plans, and project management. Designs test cases that are efficient and accurate to find and retest software defects. Primarily uses automated testing framework to assure that software from the development team is accurate and correct through organized test phases. Actively participates in meetings with IT and Senior Management to assist in the development of software and understands the business rules to assure that software is tested correctly. Works with cross functional teams designing, running, and validating automated test cases and provides feedback on tollgates for DevSecOps implementation. Assists in training others in the department with technical skills as needed. Assists in designing and creating training material for QA department employees and testers. Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), communicating with technical and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and to communicate performance testing limitations and potentials. Assists other system users including branch and department personnel with questions and concerns.
- Builds and maintains automated tests for new and existing applications while assisting in Manual testing.
- Develops and builds automated test scripts using existing metrics and framework to effectively test new and existing program
- Works closely with programmers in building and delivering accurate programs.
- Works closely with users in building and delivering useful and usable programs.
- Ensures documentation is kept fulfilling audit requirements.
- Assists in the analysis phase of system development.
- Assists in defining product requirements and adherence to business rules.
- Assists in building and maintaining manual test scripts as needed.
- Maintains defect tracking for automated and manual test scripts.
- Works with other QA staff developing automated scripts and reviewing approved automated standards.
Job Requirements:
- Work onsite for entirety of contract (about 6 months). Will move to hybrid after conversion.
- At least 3-4 years of experience with automation
- API Automation tests preferable (ReadyAPI or SoapUI)
- Python experience preferable
