GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY: A warehouse clerk takes on various responsibilities related to warehouse operations. They assist with cycle counting inventory, data entry and analysis, helping to optimize inventory levels, forecast demand, and track performance. Work on maintaining appropriate stock levels, safety stock, and surge stock using tools like SAP and statistical inventory management techniques. They contribute to analytical projects, inform supply chain strategies, and refine regression models for better accuracy. Additionally, they will identify opportunities for process enhancements and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Keep track of raw materials, packaging, and supplies.
- Assist warehouse supervisor with morning cycle counts
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure all necessary materials are available and properly stored.
- Attend production runs to maintain product quality.
- Coordinate logistics between production and storage facilities.
- Maintain accurate records using our inventory management system.
- Assist in developing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to optimize workflow.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Participate in team meetings to improve supply chain processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years in a manufacturing warehouse environment. 1-3 years data entry experience. Previous experience working with ERP systems.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must possess advanced interpersonal skills, high learning agility and analytical and decision-making skills. Must be organized and motivated to meet deadlines, detail oriented, and accurate. Proficient in Microsoft Applications, spreadsheet computer programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Normal office environment; ability to walk around making observations in an indoor/outdoor supply warehouse and yard.
EQUIPMENT: PC, phone, calculator, fax, copier, and other normal office equipment as needed.
