Machinist II
Shift - 2nd
Location - US - Mansfield, MA
Job Description:
This position requires a person to operate and set up simple machinery to manufacture medical components under minimal supervision. Ability to align with all governing rules including Smith & Nephew policies, procedures and adhere to safety and cleanliness practices in the work place.
Responsibilities:
Operate and set up simple machines simultaneously with minimal supervision ( 80%)
Perform quality checks using various inspection instruments to record data
Read and understand work instructions
Complete machine Preventative Maintenance
Provides training to Operators
Troubleshoots equipment issues and problem solving under minimal supervision
Performs data entry transaction on paper/computer and bar scanning
Complete and understand documentation needed to align with Smith & Nephewpolicies, Quality Manual and procedures but not limited to: (5%)
FDA, QSR and various domestic and international standards and regulations.
Fulfills Quality System requirements as described within the Quality System.
Team environment approach with the ability to use excellent communication skills, listening and participating in developing continuous improvement on products and processes. (5%)
Safety, cleanliness of equipment and company product, including but not limited to: (5%)
Clean work area as needed.
Follows all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and job hazardassessments applicable to specified job activities(3%)
Perform all other related duties as assigned.(2%)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time
