Material Handler

Assist with movement of goods through warehouse to needed areas on the production floor.

Hiring for our day shift: 6am - 2:30pm. Mon-Fri with some overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day coordination of raw supplies with emphasis on supplying the Production floor with all materials it needs to complete corresponding production goals.
• Work closely with the shipping & receiving team to ensure that raw materials are accurate and organized, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels that meet the needs and goals of the Production floor.
• Assist with cycle counting to complete accurate and timely physical and cycle counts of all raw materials as directed by management.
• Research and resolve instances where incorrect quantities or types of raw materials have been issued to the Production floor.
• Interact effectively with the Quality Department for coordination and completion of rework projects.
• Receives incoming shipments, unloads truck shipments, checks and confirms document accuracy and shipment integrity. Reviews and reports damaged product if found.
• Stages product for QC inspection, utilizing hand truck, pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Post inbound receipts using SAP database. Performs other computer data entries where necessary.
• Usage of computer or handheld device to prepare sticker with part# and barcode for correct product identification.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong ability to work with diverse teams with highly varied backgrounds.
• Moderate to strong math and general computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient with use of forklift/reach lift preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift 20 lbs. regularly, and up to 50 occasionally.
• Able to reach, bend, squat and stoop while retrieving or storing materials.
• Requires long periods of standing and walking.
• Able to work at heights up to 25 feet with assistance of lift truck.
• Work is performed in a sometimes-loud environment with exposure to moving machinery and chemicals.
