As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with friendly and knowledgeable assistance
- Assist customers in finding the right products based on their needs and preferences
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking merchandise and arranging displays
- Provide product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, and promotions
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating to management when necessary
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends to effectively communicate with customers
Experience:
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus, especially Spanish
- Proficient in basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with operating a POS system is an asset
- Excellent phone etiquette for answering customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone
