Responsibilities

  • Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and aiding in implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments, are accurately processed and documented in the inventory management system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, logistics, and operations, to resolve inventory-related issues and optimize inventory processes.
  • Set up and maintain accurate part numbers and descriptions in the inventory system, ensuring consistency and completeness of data.
  • Configure and maintain inventory management systems to support efficient and accurate inventory control processes.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures, policies, and best practices to enhance overall inventory management efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as needed by the organization.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies effectively.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience

  • 3 plus years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, and inventory management systems administration.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment is preferred.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field preferred.

Other Requirements

  • This position will operate in both a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely requires users to work on the manufacturing floor and warehouse which will include lifting, standing and extended periods of walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
