We are looking for a talented Paint Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team. In this position the Paint Maintenance Supervisor will have a strong attention to maintenance of the paint department’s equipment.

Objective Of The Position

  • Supervises a group of multi-craft maintenance technicians to assure that all plant machinery and equipment remain operable to ensure production and quality goals are achieved while maintaining a safe work environment. Communicates directly with Manager, Technicians, Production and Quality personnel current plant conditions as required.
  • Coordinates a group of maintenance shifts and contractors to assure that the facility and supporting systems remain operable to ensure production and quality goals are achieved while maintaining a safe work environment. Communicates directly with Manager, Supervisors, Production, and Quality personnel and Contract Support representatives.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Understands, implements, and leads a safe environment, conducive to productive work.
  • Communicates effectively to Manager, Supervisors, and Techs all issues/opportunities in assigned areas.
  • Provides leadership and determines most cost-effective means of performing repairs during breakdowns and repairs.
  • Updates Plant Management with current status of the facility and evaluates potential facility problems that support production.
  • Works with Maintenance Planner to establish monthly plan and weekly workflow. Ensures Maintenance Schedule has been updated weekly according to work accomplished.
  • Verifies all KPI’s and Turnover Sheets are updated and communicated. Updates department KPI boards weekly
  • Maintain and Operate workgroup to a budget plan. Perform weekly tracking on spending – spare parts availability.
  • Review completed PMs by shift assuring equipment readiness for production.
  • Perform PM audits and capture improvements weekly.
  • Review CMMS daily, instruct Technicians on corrections as required.
  • Work closely with Production to ensure Quality is met daily.
  • Write and Conduct evaluations as needed.
  • Conduct Technician meetings: sharing information, KPI achievement and project implementation goals.
  • Establish 1 year training plan for Technicians.
  • Verify Technician training plans are created and implemented.
  • Provide Technicians with clear expectations and provide corrective actions as required.

What Will You Bring To The Table (Skills/Experience Required)

  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written); bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.
  • Hard working, dependable, safety conscious and team oriented.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work standing or walking for long periods of time.
  • Work bending and squatting.
  • Able to make logical decisions.
  • Strong communication skills
  • 5S's good command
  • Familiar with OSHA standards
